I have just seen this movie for the second time ( :( only second time) and as a result of already having seen the movie already, I was able to concentrate more on the other things that were going on in the movie besides the mind-blowing graphics, storyline and characters. I have so much to say about this movie, I just can't fit it all in one post no matter what. (I think the best way is for me to go through one thing at a time). The best place to start I think is the movie itself and how it is perfect (in my opinon). I've seen alot of critics saying "Oh, it wasn't original enough, pretty much a Beauty and the Beast style movie and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah" or "The plot for Avatar was not quite original and has been seen in so many movies" and such, but it todays Cinema world, how much of the new movies coming out have an "Original" basic plot line. We always know the bad guy loses and the hero wins, it's the way is't always been. True, "Avatar" isn't like "District 9" original storyline, but it delivers something else that Peter Jackson could not with "District 9". "Avatar" has a soul. Yes, I said it, I may sound FUBAR, but it does have a soul. I have seen so many posts just on this site alone on how we can be like the Na'vi, or how we wish we could be like them and so on, but it get's us thinking, hoping, and wishing of "what if..." In my personal opinion, "Avatar" is like Shakespeares "Romeo and Juliet". Shakespeares tale is about two lovers who break all bonds so they can together (unfortunately, BIG BACKFIRE on them... XD) but Shakespeare made this play one of his most easily classical plays ever written in the history of man, Shakespeare is the "BIG" wiriter during the Rennasciance (did I spell that right?), because of his plays that all touched his audiences made them think. His plays had souls, Where as Shakespeare was the biggest thing in the Rennisciance (did I spell that right again?) James Cameron is his equivalent with movies in our century. Aliens, Terminator, T2, Titanic, and now Avatar. Each and every one of James Cameron's movies have souls, but in my personal opinoin, "Avatar" completely takes the lead when it comes to soul. The whole soul part of "Avatar" comes from the characters, the story, and the settings (however, that is for another blog post...) So, to simply start off my "Rant" about why "Avatar" is the perfect movie ever, I think this is a pretty damn good intro. The movie has a soul.
